It was a historic fundraising night filled with election year political banter at the 79th Annual Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner on Thursday in Midtown Manhattan. Cardinal Dolan was the event Host. He and was joined by comedian and actor Jim Gaffigan, who served as the Master of Ceremonies and dubbed the annual dinner the “Catholic Met Gala.” Former president and current presidential candidate Donald Trump was the featured speaker of the event. Vice President Kamala Harris submitted a video for dinner attendees to view.

With less than three weeks until Election Day, the one thousand people in attendance were treated to an unforgettable evening of fun and faith mixed with good-natured political barbs.
