A Word from Cardinal Dolan: The Silent Suffering
| 04/27/2024
By: Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan
Saturday is the day of the week we traditionally turn to Mary. Cardinal Dolan continues his reflection on his visit to the Holy Land where he visited a church called the Church of the Silent Suffering, dedicated to Mary, Our Lady of Sorrows.
Let us remember all those who suffer silently. They are very close to our Blessed Mother at the foot of the Cross.
The group is named for two patrons with causes for canonization underway: Staten Island's Dorothy Day, co-founder of the Catholic Worker Movement, and Sister Thea Bowman.
