May in the Archdiocese of New York will see numerous first communions and confirmations, May crownings, a holy day of obligation on Ascension Thursday, and the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage pass through as part of the Seton Route. The pope addressed Ukrainian Greek Catholics who were in Rome for a June 28-29 Jubilee Year pilgrimage to the tomb of St. Peter.
