Italian Americans Celebrate Faith and Culture on St. Anthony’s Feast Day

The Italian American community in Peekskill gathered on Thursday at the Church of the Assumption to celebrate the feast of Saint Anthony of Padua with a Mass in Italian.

The Mass was followed by a “festa” in the church hall where parishioners sang and danced and gave thanks for their Italian culture.

Bishop Edmund Whalen will lead a bilingual prayer service at the end of the walk.
