Sr. Kathleen Gorman, OP, spent over four decades in ministry as a teacher, principal, family therapist, and counselor across New York and New Jersey, dedicating herself especially to unwed mothers and those struggling with addiction and mental health challenges before serving as her congregation's archivist.

Sister Mary Catherine spent 52 years as a Sister of Charity of New York, teaching and leading Catholic elementary schools across Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx with warmth, creativity, and a special attentiveness to working families.

The archbishop shared his experience of receiving the pallium from fellow Chicago native Pope Leo XIV in Vatican City.
