A new lecture series will examine the Catholic tradition and view of the end of life and dying well, over four Tuesdays in July.

Brother Linus M. Martz, O.P., will present “Death Be Not Proud: The Art of Dying in the Catholic Tradition,” on July 9, 16, 23, and 30, at 6:45 p.m. at St. Vincent Ferrer Parish on Lexington Avenue in Manhattan.

The topics include July 9, Faith, Hope, and a Happy Death; July 16, The Art of Dying; July 23, Last Rites; and July 30, Eternal Life.

Each talk is presented as a standalone topic. It is not necessary to attend all lectures in the series to understand individual presentations.

The talks are free and all are welcome. St. Vincent Ferrer is part of the Parish of St. Vincent Ferrer and St. Catherine of Siena.

June is dedicated to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. See the listings below for a sampling of events available throughout the Archdiocese of New York.

Let's wish a Happy Father's Day to the men who have the strength to haul the family's provisions, the charm to protect their daughters' virtue, and the firm example to teach their sons how to become the world's strongest future fathers by acquiring the virtues of good manners, patience, and love.
