A great moral theologian, preacher, and confessor, Saint Alphonsus Ligouri promoted devotion to Mary under the title of Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
The vigil is hosted each January by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ (USCCB) Pro-Life Secretariat, the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C., and The Catholic University of America’s Office of Campus Ministry.
