El 19 de agosto es el Día Mundial de la Asistencia Humanitaria. Monseñor Kevin Sullivan, director ejecutivo de Caridades Católicas de la Arquidiócesis de Nueva York, resalta la importancia de celebrar este día y honrar el trabajo de personas y entidades como Caridades Católicas, que ayudan a resolver los problemas de Neoyorquinos necesitados, católicos como no católicos.

Sr. Kathleen Gorman, OP, spent over four decades in ministry as a teacher, principal, family therapist, and counselor across New York and New Jersey, dedicating herself especially to unwed mothers and those struggling with addiction and mental health challenges before serving as her congregation's archivist.
