El 19 de agosto es el Día Mundial de la Asistencia Humanitaria. Monseñor Kevin Sullivan, director ejecutivo de Caridades Católicas de la Arquidiócesis de Nueva York, resalta la importancia de celebrar este día y honrar el trabajo de personas y entidades como Caridades Católicas, que ayudan a resolver los problemas de Neoyorquinos necesitados, católicos como no católicos.
The archdiocese will move to its new headquarters at 488 Madison Avenue on Monday, June 9.

The New York Assembly passed a bill April 29 that would allow a terminally ill adult with a prognosis of six months or less to request from a physician a medication that would hasten his or her death, which the state's Catholic bishops oppose.
