In today’s reading, everyone in the crowd tied to touch Jesus and get close to Him. We want to be close to Jesus too. One of the best ways to do that is by receiving Him in Holy Communion.

In this in-between stretch of Ordinary Time, between the high feast of Christmas and the solemn preparation of Lent, we find ourselves in a new place as we settle into the New Year.
