You can watch Cardinal Dolan’s homily from this morning’s Mass at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral here.
In today’s first reading, Saint Paul tells us everything passes away, even the great things in life. However, in the Gospel Jesus speaks of what will endure. 23 years ago, we saw a bit of each, didn’t we? On 9/11, we saw thousands of innocent lives lost, but we also saw noble, heroic virtue.
“We are grateful the lives of the President, those who protect him, and everyone in attendance last night were spared from serious harm," said Archbishop Paul S. Coakley.
