Pope's Complex Clinical Picture Requires Longer Hospitalization
The Holy See Press Office released an update on Pope Francis’ health as he is treated for a respiratory infection, noting that his complex clinical picture requires adequate time for treatment in the hospital

“The results of the medical tests carried out over the past few days and Monday have shown a polymicrobial infection of the respiratory tract, which has led to a further change in therapy.
“All tests carried out to date are indicative of a complex clinical picture that will require appropriate hospitalization.”
This was the communique of the Holy See Press on Monday updating journalists on the health of Pope Francis, who was hospitalized with bronchitis on February 14 at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital.
The Director of the Holy See Press Office, Matteo Bruni, also told journalists on Monday that the Pope is in good spirits.
