Two men who will be declared saints this Jubilee year in Rome were the subject of the closing panel discussion at Communion and Liberations’ New York Encounter this past weekend in New York City.
Both young men were Italian and born in the 20th century. Both died young and led heroic lives of virtue.
Carlo Acutis, a teenager with a passion for technology, used his gifts to share the beauty of the Eucharist, cataloging miracles online. Pier Giorgio Frassati, a young Italian from the early 20th century, dedicated himself to serving the poor while finding joy in the mountains and the sacraments. Both will soon be canonized. Carlo in April and Pier Giorgio in August of this year.

The goal of the series is "for people to get a deeper connection to Christ and to have a more intimate relationship with Him," said Jonathan Roumie, who portrays Jesus.
