As we continue our Lenten journey, we are invited to open our hearts more fully to God’s mercy and grace. This week, the third installment of our special five-part Lenten reflection series with the Sisters of Life, Sister Mariana Benedicta, S.V., reflects on the profound power of repentance.

Repentance is central to Lent, calling us to turn back to God with honesty and humility. Sister Mariana Benedicta shares how, through her ministry of hope and healing after abortion, she has witnessed the beauty of life-giving repentance in the women she serves. Their courage in opening themselves to God’s mercy is a powerful reminder that no wound is too great for His love to heal.

In this Jubilee Year of Hope, may we all find the courage to embrace God’s mercy and step forward in trust, knowing that His love is greater than any sin.

Cardinal Timothy Dolan encouraged the faithful of the Archdiocese of New York to participate.
