On Sunday, May 4, just days before the start of the papal conclave, Cardinal Timothy Dolan of New York celebrated Mass at his titular church in Rome — Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Following the long-standing tradition for cardinals present in Rome ahead of a conclave, Dolan returned to pray with the faithful and reflect on the responsibility of choosing the next pope. In a brief homily and comments afterward, he expressed gratitude and asked for continued prayers as the Church prepares for this pivotal moment.
Archbishop Timothy P. Broglio lamented the great harm the bill will cause to many of the most vulnerable in society, and the steeper cuts it will make to Medicaid.
