Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop of New York, Rabbi Eliot Cosgrove, Senior Rabbi of Park Avenue Synagogue, and Dr. Zeki Saritoprak, a professor of Islamic Studies at John Carroll University and a longtime member of the national Muslim-Catholic dialogue, will join together for an interfaith panel discussion marking the 60th Anniversary of Nostra Aetate (“In Our Age”), the historic document of the Second Vatican Council on the Catholic Church’s relations with Jews, Muslims, and those of other religions. The event will be held beginning at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at the Sheen Center for Thought and Culture and will be moderated by Emmy Award-winning actress Patricia Heaton, co-founder of the October 7th Coalition.

The evening will also feature musical interludes by Cantor Mo Glazman, Senior Cantor at Temple Emanu-El, and the Erkisi Family Band, Sufi musicians.

The event is sponsored by the Irma Pastrana Borrero Foundation for Humanity’s Peace and Development in partnership with The Sheen Center, in collaboration with the Archdiocese of New York, Peace Islands Institute New York, and Park Avenue Synagogue.

Promulgated in the fall of 1965, Nostra Aetate remains one of the most celebrated and historic of the documents produced by the Second Vatican Council, as it revolutionized how the Catholic Church interacts with non-Christian religions. Nostra Aetate actively encouraged interfaith dialogue, something for which all three of the distinguished panelists are rightly renowned.

Tickets are free for this fascinating and insightful discussion, but registration is required at 60 Years of Interfaith Dialogue.

The Sheen Center for Thought and Culture, located in the heart of downtown Manhattan, is New York’s leading Catholic arts and cultural center that celebrates the true, the good, and the beautiful. Learn more about the Sheen Center here.
