Saint Patrick’s Cathedral To Close Thursday and Friday for Installation Ceremonies

Saint Patrick’s Cathedral will close to the public following 8 a.m. Mass on Thursday, February 5, in preparation for the Solemn Vespers and Installation Mass for Archbishop-designate Ronald Hicks on Thursday and Friday, respectively.  

Saint Patrick’s Cathedral will be closed to the public after 8 a.m. Mass on Thursday, February 5, and will resume normal activities and Mass schedule on Saturday, February 7,” the cathedral announced on its website. 

Solemn Vespers will be held on Thursday, February 5, at 5 p.m., with the Installation Mass at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 6. These events are not open to the public. Look for livestream and broadcast information on The Good Newsroom later on Wednesday.  

A normal schedule of Masses, reconciliation, and other events will resume on the morning of Saturday, February 7, along with public access to the cathedral.
