As we continue to meditate on the Acts of the Apostles through the Easter season, we see the beginning of the persecution of the early Church. Despite their circumstances, the disciples are filled with joy and the Holy Spirit. We still see this in modern persecution as well. When we truly open ourselves to God’s grace we are offered gifts that surpass all understanding.
