Masses, Open Houses Feature in Catholic Schools Week

Catholic Schools Week Begins January 29

Catholic Schools Week begins January 29 and will feature a series of special Masses, open houses, and other events at schools throughout the Archdiocese of New York. 

Here is a list of scheduled events coming up during the next week. Students, parents, and staff are encouraged to contact their own schools to learn about more activities planned for their local area. 

Masses and Open Houses:

The Bronx

Sun, 1/29 from 10AM-2PM – Open house at Villa Maria Academy, Bronx,

Tue, 1/31 at 9:30AM – First responders Mass at St. Philip Neri Church, Bronx

In honor of their service and dedication to the community, St. Philip Neri School students will host an appreciation Mass for more than 50 local police, firefighters, and EMTs on Tuesday, January 31, 9:30 AM at the St. Philip Neri Church, 3025 Grand Concourse, Bronx, NY. The celebration will honor local police officers, firefighters, and EMTs for their faith, knowledge, and service to the community. Following Mass, the honorees will join the students in the parish hall for breakfast and a tour of the school.

Rockland County

Sun, 1/29 from 10AM-2PM – Open house at St. Margaret of Antioch School, Pearl River.

Central Westchester

Mon, 1/30 – Wed, 2/1 from 9AM-11AM – Open house at Our Lady of Sorrows, White Plains

Wed, 2/1 & Thurs, 2/1 from 10-11AM – Pre-K open house at Immaculate Heart of Mary School, Scarsdale
 
Sat, 1/28 from 4-5PM – Open house followed by Mass (5-6PM) and spaghetti dinner and bingo (6-7:30PM) – Transfiguration School, Tarrytown
 
Sun, 1/29 from 2-4PM – Open house at Immaculate Conception Church, Tuckahoe
 
Mon, 1/30 at 9:30AM – First responders Mass and breakfast at Immaculate Conception Church, Tuckahoe
 
Sun, 2/5 from 11AM-2PM – Open house at St. Anthony School, Yonkers
 

Staten Island  

Sat, 2/4 from 10AM-12:30PM – Open house at Academy of St. Dorothy, Staten Island
 
Dutchess County
 
Sun, 1/29 from 9AM-2PM – Open house at Holy Trinity School, Poughkeepsie
