Archbishop Ronald Hicks provided an update on his health in a video released on July 28, following surgery earlier in the month to repair a detached retina in his left eye.

The archbishop thanked the faithful of the archdiocese for their continued prayers for his recovery. He hopes to return to public ministry in early August.
