Matthew tells us in today’s reading that no demon can possibly confront God and expect to be victorious. The demons represent our imperfections, sinfulness, and human failings.
"If Our Savior can be born in a stinky, messy place like that, He can certainly be reborn within us," the cardinal said in his homily.
