Processions to Gather New York Faithful on Holy Thursday, Good Friday
By: The Good Newsroom
Walks covering the Upper East Side, Lower East Side, and Washington Heights will take place over the two days

The Catholic faithful will have opportunities to gather with members of other parishes at upcoming walks and processions organized by a number of parishes in the Archdiocese of New York.
On Holy Thursday night, following the Solemn Mass of the Lord’s Supper, seven parishes will participate in a Holy Thursday Seven Church Walk on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Those parishes are: St. Vincent Ferrer and St. Catherine of Siena; St. John Nepomucene; St. Monica; St. Joseph (Yorkville); St. Thomas More; Our Lady of Good Counsel; and St. Jean Baptiste. For more information, email Maria Jose Corniell.
On Good Friday, there will be a procession for the parishes of the Lower East Side beginning at noon at St. Teresa’s Church at Henry Street and Rutgers Street, and going through other parishes to end at St. Mary’s on Grand Street. Please contact the parish for exact details. At 5:30 pm, there will be a procession from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Washington Heights to Our Lady of Esperanza, and end up at the Church of St. Catherine of Genoa. Please contact the parishes directly for exact times, routes, and further information.
Cardinal Timothy Dolan will appear at the start of the Way of the Cross procession, which takes place entirely in Brooklyn, beginning at 9:45 from St. James Cathedral – Basilica. Please note this is not an Archdiocese of New York event. For more information please visit www.wocbrooklynbridge.org, or email wocbrooklynbridge@gmail.com
