In a Mass broadcast throughout the Greater New York area on WPIX and livestreamed on multiple channels, Cardinal Timothy Dolan proclaimed the resurrection of Christ before a capacity St. Patrick’s Cathedral crowd for the Easter Sunday Mass of the Lord’s Resurrection.

“God had the first word. This morning, folks, we also recall this Easter morning, we celebrate the suspense, the supreme creed, that God will also, does also have the last word. And that’s the word of life, and light, and mercy and grace, and goodness,” Cardinal Dolan said during his homily.

“Easter morning tells us that the victory of Easter is stronger than the darkness of Good Friday because Easter has the last word,” he said.
