On Friday April 21, representatives of the St. Francis Xavier Laudato Si’ Action Platform Committee unveiled their climate action plan, which was inspired by Pope Francis’s encyclical Laudato Si’ which declares a responsibility to care for “our common home.”

The plan was unveiled on Earth Day and aims to reduce the Parish’s carbon footprint, advocate for environmental policy, educate parishioners about sustainability, and incorporate prayer for the earth and environment into the spiritual life of the Parish.

Pope Francis praised the game for its "two nice characteristics: it stimulates the mind and is accessible to all."
