A Word from Cardinal Dolan: Regina Coeli

| 04/27/2023

By: Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan

Today Cardinal Dolan shares the Regina Coel prayer with us. This is the prayer said during the Easter season it replaces the Angelus”.

Queen of Heaven, rejoice, alleluia. For He whom thou did merit to bear, alleluia.

Has risen, as He said, alleluia. Pray for us to God, alleluia. Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, alleluia. For the Lord has truly risen, alleluia.

The readings today remind us of our own response to the call of Jesus. The Lord continues to lift people up from wherever they are, just as He did to Matthew.
