Katie Prejean McGrady, speaker, award-winning author, and host of The Katie McGrady Show on The Catholic Channel, Sirius XM, is scheduled to be among speakers at the New York State Eucharistic Congress, which is set for Oct. 20-22 at the Shrine of Our Lady of Martyrs in  Auriesville.

The title of her talk will be: “Fostering Eucharistic Love Within the Family.”

“Love of the Eucharist begins in the home. Moms and dads are able to witness to their children about the value of prayer, fostering a faith life, adoring Jesus in the Eucharist, and receiving Communion with reverence and joy,” McGrady told The Good Newsroom. “Revival of our Church has to grow around dinner tables and during bedtime routines and on the drive to school each morning. It grows when we continually remind our children that our faith is an ‘all the time’ thing, not a ‘just on Sunday morning’ thing.”

“I am fully bought in for the Eucharistic Revival. It is an essential moment within our Church to foster deeper love of Jesus, and this congress for New York is a chance to bring Catholics together to grow, learn, celebrate, and be sent forth on mission. I couldn’t imagine not being there, and I’m so excited to participate and speak,” she added.

McGrady hosts three podcasts: Ave Explores, from Ave Maria Press, Like a Mother, with Our Sunday Visitor, and Family Mass Prep, on Hallow.

She is an op-ed columnist for La Croix International, a regular writer for Our Sunday Visitor, Aleteia, and Blessed is She. McGrady represented the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops at the Pre-Synod gathering of youth and young adults in the Spring of 2018 and serves as a member of the group working on youth and young adult ministry for the USCCB.

She has hosted the National Catholic Youth Conference, Steubenville Conferences, spoken in 43 states and seven countries, and her podcasts and radio shows have been listened to by millions. McGrady lives in Lake Charles, Louisiana with her husband and daughters. Her website is www.katieprejeanmcgrady.com
