Archdiocese of New York Autumn Events: First Day of School, Grandparents' Day, Man Up!

As summer comes to a close, we take a look at a selection of upcoming events planned in the Archdiocese of New York.
Back to school, back to work, back to normal routines and schedules. As summer comes to a close, the Archdiocese of New York’s calendar is full of significant events that are open for registration. Below is a selection of some of those activities and information on how to get involved. September 2: Procession of the Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe/Procesión de la Imagen de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. St. Athanasius Church, Bronx, and throughout September and at various locations in the archdiocese. This event will be conducted primarily in Spanish.
September 7: First day of school for Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of New York. Admissions for some schools are still available for the 2023-24 term. Click here to search for schools in your area. Throughout the archdiocese.
September 10: The Archdiocesan Celebration of Grandparents and the Elderly. Cardinal Timothy Dolan will serve as the principal celebrant of this Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan. Register by September 1 to join us. Grandparents and the elderly who register will be seated in the front pews of the Cathedral. Friends and family will be seated in other areas as seating is limited.
September 16: Jesus Fest. Embrace the spirit of renewal: uniting hearts and souls. Outdoors under the big tent, includes eucharistic adoration, inspirational speakers, and live music by Danielle Rose. St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, Brewster.
September 28: My Son Carlo: An Evening with Antonia Salzano Acutis. Parents and their young people are invited to spend an evening with Antonia Salzano, mother of Blessed Carlo Acutis for conversations about raising the first beatified millennial. Immaculate Conception Parish, Tuckahoe.
September 30: Together Manhattan. Ecumenical Pilgrimage Walking the Length of Manhattan Island. Starting by the Met Cloisters. All are invited to join in for an ecumenical walking pilgrimage of the length of Manhattan.
September 30: Rockland Eucharistic Revival. As part of the National Eucharistic Revival, the Rockland Eucharistic Revival will take place on the grounds of the Marian Shrine in Stony Point.
October 7: Man Up! New York. The Man Up New York 2023 Conference will be filled with dynamic talks, times of prayer, fellowship, and culminate in the worship of our Lord Jesus Christ in the Eucharist at Mass and Adoration.
October 20-22: New York State Eucharistic Congress. Held at the sacred spot where the North American Martyrs gave their lives for Christ and where St. Kateri Tekakwitha was born in Auriesville, the event includes numerous speakers, 40 hours of Eucharistic Adoration, confessions, and Mass.
