A Word from Cardinal Dolan: Atonement

Are you familiar with this Catholic expression, “Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa”? It’s Latin for “Through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault.”
It’s an act of sorrow to the Lord admitting we are sinners.
In his video today, Cardinal Dolan reflects on the importance of atonement as well Yom Kippur, the Jewish day of atonement.
As we come to the end of the Christmas season, let’s remember that what we celebrate during Christmas is meant for the entire year.
