Father Gasparik served numerous assignments throughout the Archdiocese of New York

The Very Reverend Francis Gasparik, OFM Cap., entered eternal life suddenly on November 12, 2023. 

Father Gasparik was a foundling who was adopted out by The New York Foundling, and was. lifelong friend to that organization. Among his assignments, he served as chaplain at the Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center in Yonkers, and provincial of the Capuchin Franciscans of the Province of St. Mary. In 2011 he was elected as provincial minister of the Capuchin Franciscan Friars of the Province of St. Mary, New York/New England. He was named pastor of Holy Cross/St. John the Baptist, Manhattan in September 2017. He was also a member of the presbyteral council. 

He was pre-deceased by his adoptive father, Francis J. Gasparik, in 2016.

Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 2:00-8:00 with a prayer service at 4:00.
