On Thursday, February 8th, Catholic Charities hosted ‘Journey from Homeless to Home’, an event which hosted agencies from across the federation to spread awareness about the spectrum of services available to assist the homeless in NYC in obtaining affordable housing.
Participants had the opportunity to ask questions and learn first-hand about the work done in shelters, supportive housing, housing stability and more, all while enjoying tacos and wine.
The chairman of the USCCB’s Subcommittee for the Promotion of Racial Justice and Reconciliation issued the statement in light of recent statements regarding the Somali community in the United States.
