Bishop Whalen: Confession Helps Us Hear God’s Voice

For the first in our series of Lenten Reflections with the bishops of the Archdiocese of New York, Bishop Edmund Whalen, Vicar for Clergy, says confession is like a hearing aid to help us hear God’s voice saying, “You’re forgiven. Try again.”

These reflections will be published each Friday during Lent.

"The physician-assisted suicide lobby finally said the quiet part out loud — admitting they will immediately push for expansions of any law Governor Hochul might consider signing," said a spokesperson for the NYS Catholic Conference.
