Cardinal Dolan Dedicates Dorothy Day Center at Manhattan College

Cardinal Dolan blessed and dedicated the Dorothy Day Center for the Study and Promotion of Social Catholicism on Thursday at Manhattan College in the Bronx.
Dorothy Day founded the Catholic Worker Movement, and according to the College’s website, she lived her faith with a commitment to economic justice, pacifism, and nuclear disarmament.
In his remarks, Cardinal Dolan talked about the impact that Day, a native New Yorker, has had on his life.

At the Sheen Center in Manhattan, Cardinal Dolan was joined Rabbi Elliott Cosgrove and Dr. Zeki Saritoprak for an interfaith discussion marking the 60th anniversary of “Nostra Aetate,” the Second Vatican Council document that transformed Catholic relations with other faiths.
