Cardinal Dolan Dedicates Dorothy Day Center at Manhattan College

Cardinal Dolan blessed and dedicated the Dorothy Day Center for the Study and Promotion of Social Catholicism on Thursday at Manhattan College in the Bronx.

Dorothy Day founded the Catholic Worker Movement, and according to the College’s website, she lived her faith with a commitment to economic justice, pacifism, and nuclear disarmament.

In his remarks, Cardinal Dolan talked about the impact that Day, a native New Yorker, has had on his life.

"It shows our commitment as Christians to our love for Jesus Christ," Jonathan Santillo, who participated in the solemn procession with the Knights of Columbus.
