A Word from Cardinal Dolan: St. Patrick’s Day, Continued!

| 03/18/2024

By: Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan

In his video today, Cardinal Dolan explains the extended celebration of St. Patrick’s Day in the Archdiocese of New York.

He also discusses the courage of Archbishop John Hughes, the first Archbishop of New York, who raised up and defended Irish immigrants in New York.

The Catholic Church has continued this tradition of welcoming immigrants and refugees to this day.

He reminds us to not be inflated with pride. Everything we have is because God gave it to us. Our experience with life should be one of gratitude
