Pope Saint John Paul II said at the heart of reality and the core of existence beats two hearts, the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and the immaculate heart of Mary.
The role is intended to represent the U.S. government's positions on many issues to the Holy See in its capacity as a nation-state in diplomatic efforts.
