Yesterday, we celebrated Pentecost, the birthday of the Church.
The Church is our family, and every family needs a mother. That’s why Pope Francis declared the day after Pentecost as the feast of Mary, Mother of the Church. Today we celebrate that feast day.
El día tras su elección, el nuevo Papa regresó a la capilla donde sus 132 hermanos cardenales le eligieron Papa para celebrar su primera Misa con el Colegio Cardenalicio.

The day after his election, the new pope returned to the chapel where his fellow 132 cardinals elected him pope to celebrate his first Mass with the College of Cardinals.
