A Word from Cardinal Dolan: Mary’s Month

| 05/7/2024

By: Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan

This magnificent month of May is dedicated to our Blessed Mother Mary. Why May? In May, nature is giving birth. We see new life budding everywhere.

We’re filled with hope and gratitude to God for the light and promise of new life. Mary gave birth to Jesus, the Light of the world.

The pope shares his reflections on the state of the world as he prepares to celebrate the first World Children’s Day in Rome, May 25-26 –- an event created to highlight the new generation as the hope for the future.
