Today is the Feast of Saint Andrew, often referred to as “the first called,” as the one Jesus called first, and then his brother, Simon Peter, who would be the first Pope!. It’s a special day for the Orthodox Churches who have a special devotion to him.

His Eminence, Timothy Cardinal Dolan was named Archbishop of New York by Pope Benedict XVI on February 23, 2009.
In a letter to pastors, principals, and school leaders, Sister Mary Grace Walsh, ASCJ, Ph.D., Superintendent of Schools, emphasized the continuing nature of the work.
