By: Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan

Today is the feast of the first American-born citizen to be canonized as a Saint, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton.

Raised an Anglican, she converted to Catholicism later in life at the Church of St. Peter on Barclay Street in the Archdiocese of New York.

In his first Easter as archbishop, Hicks reflected on his 57 days in New York and the joy of belonging to the archdiocesan faith community.
