A Word from Cardinal Dolan: St. Josephine Bakhita

Yesterday was the feast of St. Josephine Bakhita, the patron saint of those who have suffered from human trafficking.

Kidnapped in Sudan and sold into slavery, she was adopted by an Italian family, and from them she learned the Catholic faith.

"Concédeme conocer mejor qué es lo que me mueve, para rechazar aquello que me aleja de Cristo, y así más amarlo y servirlo", dice el papa de oración.
