U.S. News & World Report‘s “Best Nursing Homes 2024” ratings involve a detailed analysis of short-term rehabilitation and long-term care provided by skilled nursing facilities. Newsweek‘s “Best Nursing Homes 2024” ranking lists the nation’s leading nursing homes in the 25 states with the highest number of facilities according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The rankings are the result of a comprehensive evaluation based on five data sources. These include nursing home performance, accreditations from the Joint Commission and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, resident satisfaction data, medical professionals’ surveys, and the facility’s response and protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic.
