Archdiocese of New York Parishes to Participate in National Night of Prayer for Life
By: The Good Newsroom
During the Hour of Unity, 12 a.m. – 1 a.m. EST, the archdiocese will be united with churches across the country in prayer
It was on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception (then celebrated on December 9) in 1531 that Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the unborn and of the Americas, first appeared to St. Juan Diego, whose feast day is December 9. The National Night of Prayer for Life bridges these two feasts to honor Our Blessed Mother and to pray for the Lord’s mercy and restore life, liberty, faith, and peace.
The Annual National Night of Prayer for Life begins at 9 p.m. on December 8 to 1:00 a.m. on December 9. During the Hour of Unity, 12 a.m. – 1 a.m. EST, the archdiocese will be united with churches across the country in prayer.
