Archdiocese of New York Youth Prepare for World Youth Day 2023

World Youth Day will take place in Lisbon, Portugal on August 1-6. The gathering brings together thousands of young people from all over the world for prayer, catechesis, fellowship, and a chance to see Pope Francis.
A group of over 40 young people from the Archdiocese of New York, led by Bishop Joseph Espaillat, will be there! The group met together on June 29 with Bishop Espaillat at St. Anthony’s Parish in the Bronx as they prepare to depart for Portugal.
Organized by the archdiocesan Office of Young Adult Outreach, it was a chance for these young people to meet their fellow pilgrims over a slice of pizza, pray together, and ask questions about the trip. Watch our full report here.
Sister Lois Dee, OP, entered eternal life on November 13, 2024. Her career in education took her to schools in three states, and later into congregational administration.

Durante todo el año, el Comité Arquidiocesano de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe se reúne mensualmente en la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe en St. Bernard en Manhattan para coordinar los preparativos de la procesión anual del 12 de diciembre que comenzará en la Iglesia desde la calle 14 hasta la Catedral de San Patricio en Midtown.
