Bishop John Bonnici offers this week’s Friday Lenten Reflection on how to live Lent as a time of preparation.

Bishop Bonnici, the Episcopal Vicar for Westchester and Rockland Counties, says that during Lent we accompany Jesus to Jerusalem and learn so much along the way, and he offers concrete things we can do to prepare for Holy Week and Easter.

This is the third in our series of spiritual reflections for Lent offered by the bishops of the Archdiocese. The reflections are published each Friday during Lent.

Cardinal Timothy Dolan and Father Dave Dwyer discuss reading habits, upcoming and recent events, the apostolic nunciature, and the "Worth Recovering" series, which you can watch in full here at The Good Newsroom.

We love stories like the one in today's first reading about how young David was able to fell the mighty giant Goliath. We like it when the little guy wins. Tomorrow, we observe the sad anniversary of the legalization of abortion.
