Bishop Colacicco Celebrates Confirmations at Holy Cross Parish in Middletown

46 confirmation candidates from both Holy Cross and Holy Name Parishes in Middletown were Confirmed on Wednesday during Mass celebrated by Bishop Gerardo Colacicco at Holy Cross Parish.

Confirmation is very special moment in the life of a Catholic. Along with Baptism and First Communion it is one of the three Sacraments of Initiation.

At confirmation we are sealed with the gifts of the Holy Spirit and called to be missionary witnesses of Jesus Christ in our families, neighborhoods, society, and the world.

In his homily, Bishop Colacicco spoke of St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta and her heroic example as someone who saw Jesus in every person she met.

The pope will celebrate this private Mass during his holiday at the papal residence in Castel Gandolfo.
