Cardinal Dolan and Catholic Charities Launch Holiday Outreach for New Yorkers in Need

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York joined Cardinal Dolan at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Sunday to commemorate the World Day of the Poor with a special Mass and food blessing.

This event kicked off Catholic Charities’ busiest season as they provide critical food assistance to hungry New Yorkers during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

Diocese of Brooklyn Auxiliary Bishop Octavio Cisneros served as principal celebrant of the multilingual Mass, which featured readings in Mandarin and Cantonese with an English liturgy.
