Hundreds of healthcare workers gathered in St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Thursday for the Annual White Mass.

The White Mass is named for the color worn by those in the healing profession of medicine and is a tradition going back to the 1800s.

ArchCare, the healthcare system of the Archdiocese of New York, organizes the event each year to honor everyone working in the healthcare industry throughout New York.
