Faith and service came together in Midtown Manhattan as Cardinal Timothy Dolan joined the Senior Pastor at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Dr. Scott Black Johnston, to serve meals to those in need. The meal service is part of A Place at the Table, a long-standing program offering food, social services, and community support to New Yorkers facing food insecurity.

New York City continues to see rising levels of food insecurity, with over 1.2 million residents struggling to access nutritious meals. Faith-based organizations are stepping up to help, providing not just food, but also medical referrals, housing assistance, and social services.

For those who rely on A Place at the Table, the meal is about more than just food—it’s about being seen, known, and supported.

After the event, Cardinal Dolan and Rev. Dr. Scott Black Johnston reflected on the partnership between St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church.

With 29,000 visitors a day, up from 23,500 a day before the fire in 2019, Notre Dame's guest rates are comparable to those of the Louvre Museum, even though the museum's surface area is considerably larger.
