In today’s Gospel, Jesus encounters a blind beggar on the side of the road. There’s a lot we can learn from Bartimaeus.

Like the disciples in today’s Gospel, when we are afraid, Jesus is with us.

Born in New York City, he was ordained on June 22, 1991, by Cardinal John O’Connor, and appointed a bishop on January 25, 2022, by Pope Francis.

"Pope Leo has chosen well in appointing him to serve as the Bishop of Rochester," Cardinal Dolan said in a statement.
