Cardinal Dolan’s Third Sunday of Easter Homily: April 23, 2023

| 04/23/2023

By: Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan

You can watch Cardinal Dolan’s homily from this morning’s Mass here. Have you noticed during this Easter season that the readings often talk about the times Jesus appeared to His Apostles? More often than not, Jesus is with His Apostles for a meal.

The Apostles recognize Jesus when He breaks bread with them. Jesus wanted to show them He wasn’t a vision or ghost. He has bodily risen from the dead.

Jesus still eats with us and remains with us really and truly in the sacrament meal we call the Mass.

We love stories like the one in today's first reading about how young David was able to fell the mighty giant Goliath. We like it when the little guy wins. Tomorrow, we observe the sad anniversary of the legalization of abortion.
