Father Richard F. Champigny, O.Carm., entered eternal life on May 12, 2025. He served long and faithfully as a Carmelite and as a priest.

Sister Mary Angela Smith entered eternal life on May 23, 2025. She served the Dominican Sisters of Hope in the finance office and as transportation coordinator at Mount Saint Mary Convent in Newburgh.

Sister Dominic Marie’s life was a testament to the power of faith in action. Whether in the classroom, the parish, or her family, she inspired all who knew her with her wisdom, kindness, and steady devotion to God.

Sister Juanita entered eternal life on April 30, 2025. From 1995-97, she worked at the Newburgh Ministry in Newburgh, and from 1997-98, she did service coordination for children with developmental disabilities at Family Empowerment Council in Middletown.

During 50 years of service, Bishop Walsh served as vicar general and vicar for clergy of the Archdiocese of New York, and rector of St. Joseph's Seminary in Dunwoodie
