On August 6, Impact Day, volunteers from Catholic Charities and KPMG visited Good Counsel Homes on Staten Island, home to homeless, pregnant and recently given birth women, to provide them with free lunch, board games, a beauty routine and the creation of a Zen Garden space.
El 6 de agosto, Día del Impacto, voluntarios de Caridades Católicas y KPMG visitaron Good Counsel Homes en Staten Island, donde viven mujeres sin hogar, que están embarazadas o recién han dado a luz, para brindarles almuerzo gratuito, juegos de mesa, una rutina de belleza y la creación de un espacio de Jardín Zen.
The Albert V. Maniscalco Community Service Award was presented at Monsignor Farrell High School, where Bishop Whalen was previously a student, teacher, and principal.
